Sophie's First Dance class

Sophia had her first dance class on Saturday. She did really well and had a ton of fun and made a couple of new little friends. It was so cute. We can't take pictures of the class on just a regular day. So, this was her just before her class. (It wasw also just before Scratchy the horse "bucked her off" and she got her second fat lip in two days.)
It was actually a great day all around and I am really looking forward to Saturdays. Ella has dance first at 10:30. While she was at dance, Warren worked out. Then I worked out while Sophie danced. It was nice family time at the Y. Then we went to subway for Warren and I and Taco Bell for the girls. It was just nice time together..:)

Happy Birthday Sophia!

Sophia turned two on Valentine's day. We had a little party for her on Saturday. She came out with her froggy balloon in the morning and said "So-phi-a Bir-day". It was soooo cute :)

We love you so much Sophia. You are getting to be such a big girl.

Thank you God for our Sophie and please bless her and keep her always.

Fire and Ice

"We were a tiny speck in the vast vista of the sea. For a moment the consciousness of the forces arrayed against us would be overwhelming. Then hope and confidence would rise again as our boat rose to a wave and tossed aside the crest in a sparkling shower like the play of prismatic colors at th foot of a waterfall." - Quote from Shakelton's Journal in the book Shipwrecked at The Bottom of the World

Just some cool pics of the icicles hanging from our roof the other day. :) The quote doesn't totally go, but I like the "prismatic light" reference and I have always liked this journal entry. It is neat to think that a rough tough sailor and explorer wrote such beautiful words and in such a dire situation.
