...and the stockings were hung by the chimney with care....

So, one of my many Christmas projects this year was making stockings for the girls. I think they turned out pretty well. I also made bead ornaments and blankets and slippers socks. It was a lot of work, but fun.

The perfect tree...

We went to the tree farm and cut down a tree again this year. It was bitter cold, snowy, and windy, but we got a beautiful tree and had some family fun as well. As is our tradition, we went to Random Lake Pizzaria afterwards and ate pizza and played darts. So, here are a few pics.

Some Chloe Pics

Since I didn't post any birthday pics, here are some more recent pictures of Sweet little Chloe.. She has a big bump on her head from falling down the stairs a week ago. :( In the last picture she is walking on her knees. She has starting doing that occasionally.

Chloe's First Birthday

So, our little Chloe turned one on October 28th. We had a little party for her with family and close friends. I made her a pumpkin shaped pumpkin spice cake that said "Happy 1st Birthday little pumpkin". It turned out pretty cute. She wore a litte pumpkin shirt and denim skirt. She was adorable - of course. I wish I had some photos of it to post, but we had dead batteries all over the house, so no pics from my camera. My mom took some. I need to have her email me a few to post.

Anyway.... Our little Chloe is just the sweetest and happiest baby ever. She is always smiley. She even laughs when I clean her ears. She loves her big sisters. They always make her laugh and smile. She calls them both Ella. It is just easier to say. She also says Mama, Dada, bye bye, nigh nigh. She does the signs more and all done. She crawls and climbs all over the place. She also cruises around the furniture and sometimes lets go and stands. No steps yet though.

We love you little Chloe and are soooo thankful for you and your sweet little soul in our family. God bless you with love and happiness and wisdom!

I am wearing the brown hat and you get a side view of my face once. Chloe is to my left and wearing a pinkish hat. The girl filming was right behind us.

McCain & Palin

Sophia and Chloe and I went to Cedarburg yesterday to try to see John McCain and Sarah Palin. We got there to late and were stopped about 1/2 block away. We could hear a little of the speaches, but couldn't see them. There were secret service everywhere around us and we asked them if the bus was going to leave this way and they said it was. So, we waited. When the bus came around the corner, we could see them inside waving and people were yelling and cheering. Then the bus stopped and they got out and waved some more. They walked back around the bus like they were going to go back in and then they came back around the front and waved at our side again. Then McCain spotted Chloe and pointed at us and they came over and said hi to her and squeezed her arm. McCain came over first and then said "Sarah" and pointed to
Chloe. Sarah came over then and smiled at us and gave Chloe a squeeze and asked her name. Sweet. I am searching for more video that may actually have them with Chloe on it. But here is the closest I found so far.

A little over 30-seconds into it, the camera shows a crowd near a red brick building on the corner. Chloe and Sophia and I are in that crowd right on the curb. the video stops right before he came over and shook our hands. :p

Ella's First Day of Kindergarten

Ready to go.
Daddy's big girl.
No turning back now.
" Yeah, I'm ready for this."
Ella and Caleb
All tuckered out.

Funny Chloe

Chloe was chasing her ball and somehow ended up stuck under the chair.
Poor sleepy baby. She refuses to lay back.
She just can't wait to play outside with her sisters.
Chloe is ten months old now. Time goes so quickly! She is learning many new things. She is now playing pat-a-cake, so big, peek-a-boo, waving, and signing "more". I swear she said "nigh nigh" the other night. She has also added "mama" (finally) and "papa" to her vocabulary.
It is really funny, but she copies every movement and every sound that her big sisters make. Oh, and she is getting another tooth (that makes 3).

Haircuts

I don' have a good before picture of me. I always have my hair up because it has been so nasty. I took the camera with me to do before photos and I forgot to do it. We went to a different salon than what we normally do. The stylist who did my hair was trained at Graham Webb in Minnesota on cutting naturally curly hair. I think she did awesome! Ella's stylist was super sweet and did a great job too. Ella and Sophia both got their hair sprayed with glitter too. Mommy got a scalp and hand massage and a nice hat towel for my forhead. The after picture is from the deck outside the salon.
