She is in the Peer Program at Dunwiddie Elementary in Port. It is a special needs early childhood classroom and she is one of 4 mainstream students that was chosen (lotto-style) to be a peer. I have heard great things about the program and am pretty excited about it for her. After two days, her teachers are very excited to have her in there too because she is a great helper. That's my girl! :)
Thes above pics were taken just outside her classroom before she went in. She was saying "Yahoo" and couldn't wait to get in the room. I am such a mean mommy. I made her get her picture taken before I let her go in.
After class she stood in front of a mosaic that said Dunwiddie Dolphins to get her picture taken. I asked her to give me a face that told me how she felt about her first day of school.

I will greatly miss her - watching her in the mornings.... but it's nice to know that she'll still be around in the afternoons! when we have the house all to ourselves to color and play unicorns!! hahaha :)
She looks like she couldn't be any happier! I am so happy for you guys that she got into that program. Can't wait to see you!

How exciting and scary for you! Your little girl isn't so little anymore :( But what a wonderful big girl she is growing up to be!
Im glad Ella's first day of school went great and she likes it. What preschool does she go to? She looks so happy :)
Anna was the same way with her first day of 4k!
I love how excited Ella looks. It totally makes me smile! :) I am so excited to hear more about her school days!
How exciting...looks like she didn't have any problems going on her own...kinda makes ya sad in a way, that they can be so independant now without us :( But at the same time excited for them to be their own person.
She is sooo adorable in her yellow dress and yellow socks ;)
She is so adorable.
