More Zoo

I had to put in a few more pictures. Ella and I love the giraffes the best and I got some pretty good pictures. We were there right at the end of their feeding time, so we got to see them up close from the deck. That was really fun!

Ella waited and waited to get her picture taken as a giraffe with grandma. I had to post it too! (Maybe I should have done a slide show.)

A Day At The Zoo

We went to the Milwaukee Zoo today with Grandma Kerr and Dan. It was a beautiful day for it. It was sunny and the temperature was just right. The girls both love the aquarium (especially Sophia).
They have a special exhibit at the zoo this summer where you can touch sharks and stingrays. When we were there, it was not a feeding time, so they weren't really getting close enough. I got to touch a slimy stingray, but Ella kept missing them. They still really had a good time trying.
Grandma and Dan and Ella and Sophia outside of the Aviary.
Ella and Sophia holding hands preparing for the train ride. They were both so excited to ride the train. Sophie kept saying "Choo- Choo!"
Mommy and the girls on the train. Sophia didn't want to sit. She was just too excited.

The Land

Until we get steps put in or/and grading done, Warren rigged it to lower yourself down with a rope/pulley type thing. It isn't so bad. I could do it 6 months pregnant and holding Sophie (although Warren didn't want me to do it holding Sophie and I just got impatient). Ella could even get back up by herself (with me close behind).
This is a view down the slope from up near the road. My mom and the girls and I are in the center of all the trees. That is the camping area and where we set up the picnic table.
A little closer look at the camping area with the view of the lake. You can't hear any cars or see the road at all. All you can hear and see is the lake.
Looking north from "our beach". A little rocky, but that's all right with us. We enjoy skipping stones. :)

It is certain

I had another ultrasound today. It was a pleasant surprise that they had a new machine. So, got very clear views and pics. It is definately without a doubt a girl. We got a view as though we were holding up her legs to change a diaper. In the above picture she was sucking on her hand. We could see her little mouth moving too.
She even gave us a big smile in this picture. I know the shadow on her left eye makes her look a little like a pirate, but she is a happy pirate. Arrr! Everything looked perfect and amazing. She looks to be just slightly over average in size.

Ella and Sophie were along and it was fun to have Ella be able to see the baby inside. I could tell it was a little surreal for her, but she definately thought it was pretty cool.

So, the next thing is names. Here a few we've been thinking of (in no particular order). Have fun and cast a vote.

Sisters

One evening I was cleaning up the kitchen and it was awfully quiet. I went looking for the girls and heard Sophie whining in Ella's room. When I opened the door, I found Sophie in a diaper only and Ella trying to get her into a tutu. I helped Ella. Then my two little princesses put on a fashion show for me. They are at a stage where they play so well together. It is so fun to see them interact. They fight a little, but Ella is really good at understanding the Sophie is really still a baby and doesn't understand. Ella is such a good big sister and really watches out for Sophie. They like to tease and wrestle too. Sophie loves to take Ella's toys and run and make her chase and tackle her. Then they giggle and tickle eachother. They are to fun!

Ella is really excited to have another sister and she sings and tells stories to my tummy all of the time. Sophia doesn't quite understand, but she will point at my tummy and pat it and kiss it and say "Baby".

I wish I had a good pic of me and my sister to post on here. It is so much fun to have a sister. I love her so much and appreciate her so much. She is an amazing mother and a wonderful friend.

It fills me with great joy to know that my girls will have sister(s). :)

Thank you Lord for sisters!
